Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has published the 2022 KCSE exams, noting a significant improvement over last year.
Machogu stated at Mitihani House in Nairobi on Friday, when he released the results, that candidates who are not in close proximity to their respective examination centers can access the results via SMS services.
According to Machogu, 173,345 of the 881,416 candidates who took the 2022 KCSE exams received a minimum university entry grade of C+ or higher, compared to 145,776 in 2021.
He also stated that in 2022, 1,146 candidates received a grade A, compares favorably to 1,138 in 2021, and 522,588 candidates received a grade D+ or higher in the exams.
The CS also noted that the number of candidates receiving an E on the 2022 KCSE exam dropped significantly, from 46,151 in 2021 to 30,822 in 2022.
